Four Presidential Candidates Approved – Ghana 2016 Elections

The electoral commission has approved 4 out of the 17 Presidential candidates who filed their nominations. 13 political parties have been rejected due to mistakes and incomplete filling of nomination forms submitted. Those rejected will have a refund of their monies paid back to them as stated by the Electoral Commission.

The following are the approved candidates;

New Patriotic Party (NPP);  Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo (presidential candidate) & Mahamudu Bawumai ( Vice presidential candidate)

National Democratic Congress (NDC);  John Dramani Mahama  (presidential candidate) & Kwesi Amissah Arthur ( Vice presidential candidate)

Convention People’s Party (CPP); Ivory Greenstreet (presidential candidate) & Gabby Nsiah Nketiah ( Vice presidential candidate)

Independent Candidate ( IC); Jacob Osei Yeboah (presidential candidate)
