Sir Olaniwun Ajayi, a chieftain of Afenifere, a major pan-Yoruba socio-political group is dead, just after 48 hours, when he predicted how President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor would emerge in an interview earlier.The late Ajayi died in the early hours of Friday, November 4, 2016 at an undisclosed hospital. The yoruba leader reportedly complained about pains on Thursday afternoon, he was taken to Lagos by his eldest son, Dr Konyin Ajayi, for treatment where he died hours later.
Sir Olaniwun Ajayi was born in Isara Remo, Ogun state on April 8, 1925, to the family of Mr Benjamin Awoyemi Ajayi, a farmer and Marian Efundolamu Ajayi. Reports gathered shows he had his early education at the Islamic Primary School, Epe, Lagos, but later enrolled into a primary school in Ode-Remo in 1937 Ogun state, where he completed. Authorities of the school engaged him to teach there due to his intelligence and excellent results.
