Students from University of Technology in South Africa Trap Two Guards In Burning Building At CPUT

Reports have it that two security guards were locked up in a burning building at Bellville campus in Cape Peninsula University of Technology. According to the reports, the guards are now in a stable condition. Confirming this incident, CPUT’s spokesperson Lauren Kansley related that protesters attacked the main admin building in Bellville campus before torching it. “They also torched the security office at the main entrance to that campus. At least two vehicles were also damaged. “The guards suffered mostly smoke inhalation injuries and are now stable,” Kansley divulged. Read Also: Zuma Is So Clueless He Left The Country While It’s Burning – ACDP Disclosing that the university opened cases of attempted murder, the spokesperson added that “other charges laid include public violence and malicious damage to property.” Theo Lane, City of Cape Town fire services spokesperson told News24 that firefighters found three men inside the burning building when they responded to a call for help. “Three adults were treated for lacerations and smoke inhalation. A section of the institution was alight on our arrival,” said Lane Meanwhile, two buildings were torched this morning at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Pietermaritzburg campus. And, several petrol bombs uncovered at Wits University’s main campus in Braamfontein. First, a bag was found with three petrol bombs at Raikes Gate, and another two petrol bombs discovered outside the John Moffet building. Wits spokesperson, Shirona Patel confirmed the discovery of the bombs saying security have beefed up.
